Located on the beautiful Monterey Bay, EMC Planning Group Inc. has been providing award-winning planning, design, entitlement, natural resource, and CEQA/NEPA services to both public and private clients for over 36 years. We are recognized both locally and nationally for our work and services, which include community planning, permitting and regulatory compliance, municipal staff support, natural resource assessment, and integrated technology.
We are currently seeking a Land Use Planner/Designer at the Senior level. Duties will depend on experience level and will include, but are not limited to, plan making, project application and entitlement processing, land use feasibility analysis, and environmental documentation. It is a requirement that applicants have a minimum of 5 years with the above-referenced skills. Writing skills are a priority.
Minimum Requirements(must meet all minimum requirements for consideration):
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in urban design, planning, environmental studies, or related technical field;
  • Five years of urban design, planning, and/or environmental documentation experience, including preparation of site plans or design documents, planning documents, land use feasibility analysis, and/or environmental documents; and
  • Proficiency in Auto CAD, ArchGIS, SketchUp, MS Word and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).
Experience with another technical skill (e.g., air quality modeling and analysis, graphics preparation, etc.) is preferred.
