Proud of its rich history and cultural diversity, the City of Santa Ana is the county seat of Orange County, with a population of approximately 325,000. Located 33 miles southeast of Los Angeles, Santa Ana encompasses 27.2 square miles.
The Planning Manager plans, organizes, directs and monitors activities of the Planning Division;  directs and coordinates the City’s land use and development activities pertaining to environmental, current and future urban planning, zoning administration, development services center and related activities; and establishes Planning Division goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
Requirements: A minimum of six years of professional-level experience in urban planning administration, four years of which must be as section leader or above with supervisory responsibilities. Graduation from an accredited college or university with specialization in urban planning, public administration or related field may be used in combination with training and experience to provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities for this position
