Partners Enterprise Capital LLC (PEC) is seeking an Analyst with a minimum of one year of experience to join its portfolio management team in Chicago. 


PEC is an independent investment management firm with approximately $13 billion of assets under management in the form of long‐term private equity investments in real estate operating companies (REOCs) throughout the United States. We primarily focus on the industrial, apartment and retail sectors. 


This position will be a key member of the portfolio management team that is tasked with efforts to value, track, analyze and report on the existing operating portfolio to help drive strategic insights and decision making. The primary areas for which this individual will be accountable:

• Portfolio Management

- Develop comprehensive familiarity with PEC sectors, REOCs, markets and assets

- Actively coordinate and contribute to the data collection and visualization process through

application of technology as a critical input to investor and internal reporting

- Participate in quarterly mark to market asset and debt valuation including maintenance, assembly and review of property‐level data

- Develop a basic understanding of operating company financial models and execute periodic updates and enhancements

- Support the preparation and review of the investment fund and REOC annual business plans through data collection, presentation and analysis

- Ongoing and special research related to space market fundamentals and macroeconomic trends

- Participate in market and asset level surveillance efforts

- Management of communication among the REOC, PEC, managing board and capital partner

- Collect, synthesize and respond to feedback from each of these groups, and collaborate with the REOC management teams to incorporate as necessary


Required skills, capabilities and experience:

• One year minimum experience

Assistant City Planner, City of Edwardsville, Illinois

Director of Transportation, Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission

Who: Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission

What: The Director of Transportation will head up the development and implementation of NIRPC’s transportation framework and ensure that NIRPC meets all its Federally required responsibilities as an MPO in surface transportation and public transit. The position will oversee the staff responsible for all aspects of transportation planning, and will facilitate stakeholder committees pertaining to technical, financial, and other aspects of regional transportation planning and project management. Responsible for the Long Range Transportation Plan as inculcated in NWI 2050, the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), and other federal MPO requirements, the Director of Transportation will respond to internal and external inquiries pertaining to transportation planning; will be responsible for quality of transportation team products; will develop and enhance performance metrics/measurements; will lead and direct the work of transportation planning staff; will ensure efficient and effective use of transportation planning funds; will problem-solve obstacles to efficient project delivery; will collaborate with transit funding recipients to ensure equitable allocations of available funding; will carry out NIRPC’s Title VI program and address environmental justice concerns; and will be the go-to strategic point person for all transportation-related projects.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum educational accomplishment is a bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning, or a related discipline such as public policy or transportation engineering.  Master’s degree and AICP certification, particularly with Advanced Specialty Certification in Transportation, are strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years of successful experience in transportation planning (or land use planning with a strong transportation component), preferably with a regional or local government. Additional experience may compensate for a lack of a master’s degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration programs desired.
  • At least five years of the relevant experience should be in a supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively with strengths in adaptive management and mentoring.
  • Strong customer and public service ethic.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including group facilitation abilities and collaborative aptitude among multiple parties.
  • Demonstrated understanding of transportation planning principles and federal duties and obligations of Metropolitan Planning Organizations.
  • Exceptional skills and aptitude in project management and public administration, including budgeting, project staffing, and coordination of work activities.

Equity Coordinator, ANDALE

What: The Equity Coordinator for ANDALE is a professional within the Office of Access, Equity, and Diversity and responsible for developing and implementing critical initiatives designed to support the college's LatinX student population. Additionally, this position supports the functions of the Office of Access Equity and Diversity (OAED) and the Center for Campus Inclusion and Diversity (CCID).

Characteristic Duties And Responsibilities

·         Provide day-to-day implementation of the ANDALE program.

·         Plan, implement, and assess program components and services.

·         Coordinate meetings of the ANDALE steering committee.

·         Manage the financial resources of ANDALE with assistance from OAED staff.

·         Develop online and print resources to market the programs and services that ensure events are adequately publicized to maximize participation.

·         Create new initiatives, which identify and connect to current local, national, and global equity-related trends and issues, with particular attention being paid to anti-racism, anti-bias, and student organizational development.

·         Coordinate program assessment and continuous improvement initiatives with the intention of identifying and closing equity gaps for the LatinX student population at Oakton.

·         Coordinate organizational presence and participation at identified campus-wide enrollment events and programs (i.e. Student Orientation, Admitted, LatinX Teen College Success Program, Commencement, OSLCI departmental initiatives, etc.).

·         Submit an annual report to the AVP at the conclusion of the academic year.

·         Develop partnerships with existing campus initiatives serving traditionally underrepresented student populations (i.e. TRIO, Service Learning, Financial Aid, etc.).

·         Empower student leaders to plan, develop, and execute cultural celebrations and social justice programming.

·         Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution (or expected completion by May 2021), or an equivalent combination of training and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is required.

·         Experience in diversity training/education initiatives.

·         Knowledge and experience with programming initiatives and support services related to diversity, inclusion and student development theory.

·         Knowledge of past and current social trends affecting marginalized/non-majority students.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Fluency in Spanish.

·         2-3 years of experience in higher education or related field.

·         Master's degree in in Counseling Psychology, Student Personnel, Higher Education or related field.

·         Experience with advising and counseling students and recognized student organizations.

Volunteer Coordinator, Habitat for Humanity

What: The successful candidate will be highly organized and motivated with strong service and administrative skills. This role is one of the organization’s main points of contact with the public and the Coordinator must be able to effectively communicate the organization’s mission and needs and motivate others to engage with the mission.     Program Manager, National Kidney Foundation of Illinois

    Who: National Kidney Foundation of Illinois

    What: In response to the urgent need to address the COVID-19 pandemic in the region 4, region 5, and region 9 areas, the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois (NKFI) has created a comprehensive and strategic partnership with the Illinois Public Health Association and its partners to address the unmet community needs of the COVID-19 pandemic. The NKFI is committed to helping our partners to align their response in targeted counties in the state of Illinois in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines potentially decreasing overlap and reaching greater coverage of communities that are the most vulnerable, underserved, hard to reach, diverse in age, race, gender, sexual orientation, and economic status. It is the intent of this collaborative partnership to create and expand a well-trained, experienced, and knowledgeable cadre of pandemic health navigators with a coordinated response. The Program Manager will support, guide and manage our COVID-19 Pandemic Health Navigators, organize our COVID-19 program in accordance with our funder Illinois Public Health Association, and their partners, the state of Illinois, local health departments, community partners and other stakeholders.


    Responsibilities:

        ·      Provide direct supervision to the COVID-19 Pandemic Health Navigator staff to ensure that all protocol and guidelines have been met according to programmatic guidelines and protocols in the region 4, region 5, and region 9 areas. Ensure that all COVID-19 Pandemic Health Navigator staff are appropriately trained and certified as required.

    ·         Work directly with agencies in the COVID-19 service system to engage individuals for referrals and other related health disparities.

    ·         The ability to identify, screen and hire COVID-19 Pandemic Health Navigator staff in a timely, efficient, and coordinated manner in conjunction with the Senior Director of Programs and other associated/assigned project staff.

    ·         Provide direct oversight and coordination of COVID-19 educational and informational resources which includes ensuring staff manage and maintain contact with assigned clients with regular calls, in-field services, organizing staff scheduling, case notes and tracking of next steps for each community member and their families.

    ·         Work directly with the assigned Illinois health department to support their contract tracing efforts as requested or needed accordingly.

    ·         Assist and ensure that all data is collected as required per funder guidance and that staff is accurately collecting and documenting such data in an accurate and timely manner as required for each client encounter

    ·         Coordinate and establish relationships with community providers and stakeholders for referral purposes to assist COVID-19 Pandemic Health Navigators with access to such services for their community members as needed.

    ·         Develop a plan to include public education and outreach efforts to engage clients of the community about project activities, provision of presentations at public meetings and community events to stakeholders, community civic organizations, churches, agencies, family groups and schools.

    ·         Assist with the development and implementation of the Social marketing campaign and program messaging to Illinois residents.

    ·         Provide and maintain accurate and current process, procedural, programmatic, an inventory logs of specific outreach and educational activities, including distribution of COVID-19 health related materials for all COVID-19 Pandemic Health Navigators.

    ·         Ensuring and maintaining policies, principles, and procedures that is in agreement with the state of Illinois, Illinois Public Health Association, CDC, Health Departments and CWP requirements, guidelines, regulations and directives.


    Qualifications:

    Research Analyst, Cook County Sheriff

    Who: Cook County Sheriff's Office

    WhatThe Cook County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is seeking a full time Research Analyst. The Research Analyst will assist the CCSO’s Director of Research in producing specific, timely and data-driven analyses on various operations throughout the CCSO, including the detainee population of the CCDOC, staffing levels, law enforcement operations, and other CCSO initiatives and programs. Under the direction of the Director of Research, the Research Analyst will advise on policies and strategies based on strategic data analysis of the detainee population, staffing levels, recidivism and other program outcomes. The Research Analyst will study and advise on data-driven proactive policing practices and policies, based on statistical data and other research. The Research Analyst will assist in collecting and analyzing data related to Sheriff’s initiatives in the Department of Corrections, Sheriff’s Police, and Court Services using statistical programs. The Research Analyst will be responsible for performing specialized administrative work which may include a wide range of administrative duties, and must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of various aspects of CCSO operations.

    Responsibilities:

    Performs ongoing analyses of jail detainee population data and develops reports/research bulletins describing the characteristics of the jail’s detainee population, tracking and analyzing changes in these characteristics over time.  

    Performs assignments related to the analysis of classification, inmate housing needs and population management.  

    Assists with evaluations of Cook County Sheriff’s Office programs, including grant funded programs to improve or expand programs over time.

    Performs specific analyses of jail detainee population data to develop strategic interventions for subsets of populations detained in the Cook County Department of Corrections; assists the Director of Research in developing data driven policies and programs designed to reduce the population of the Cook County Department of Corrections. 

    Advises on the development of policies to address specific needs of the Cook County Sheriff’s Office based on research and analytical findings. 

    Conducts analyses on data from the Circuit Court of Cook County, other stakeholders in the County’s criminal justice system, data from local law enforcement agencies, Cermak Health Services, and Cook County Medical Examiner to document how decisions and operations of systems external to the jail impact the population and operation of the Cook County Department of Corrections. 

    Researches and analyzes data relating to law enforcement strategies. Participates in review and validation of computer-aided dispatch data.   

    Sets and meets goals for themselves and the team; accountable for project deadlines and successful completion of projects. 

    Performs various administrative functions, including answering telephone calls, sorting documentation and filing, assisting in verifying, organizing, entering and reviewing data.

    Attends regular meetings regarding data analysis; prepares detailed reports and presentations on a regular basis, as assigned by the Director of Research.

    Ensures that all sensitive and restricted information and materials are handled with complete confidentiality and discretion.

    Capable of performing duties with minimal supervision and managing projects from beginning to end.


    Qualifications:

    Knowledge and skill in the use of databases and software applications, with the ability to create, edit and analyze data; ability to collect, analyze and evaluate evidence, statistics and other information to draw logical conclusions.

    Experience cleaning and analyzing data in STATA, R, SAS, Python, or similar statistical programming language.

    Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to prepare graphs, charts, tables and other illustrative documents.

    Excellent report writing skills.

    Knowledge of statistical analysis.

    Ability to use statistical research techniques.

    Good attention to detail, ability to proof, verify and edit complex written reports written by others or by oneself, and to communicate/make changes and improvements as needed during the report review process.

    Skill in interacting with others to investigate, gather and review confidential materials, information and data.

    Possession of a graduate degree in Public Policy, Criminal Justice, Statistics, Predictive Analytics, or a closely related field OR two (2) years of full-time experience in statistical research and analysis. 


    One (1) or more years of experience in the use of R, STATA or other statistical analysis software. 

    Ability to work any shift assigned, including days, afternoons or midnights; must be capable of working holidays and weekends, as required.

    Must successfully pass background investigation(s) with results showing no past criminal record of conviction for a felony or misdemeanor.

    Community & Partnerships Organizer, Union of Concerned Scientists

    What: The Clean Transportation Program is looking for an experienced organizer who will help build up a community of experts and activists across the US and work to support and build power with grassroots partners in the pursuit of reduced climate emissions, increased access to mobility for underserved communities, and improved public health. In this role your work will have real, lasting impacts on how transportation policy decisions are made on the national, state, and local levels, and on the development of thoughtful and effective leaders nationwide. The right candidate will be able to foster authentic relationships with frontline communities bearing disproportionate burdens of transportation pollution—primarily Black, LatinX, and Asian American communities—and will identify and shepherd leaders through their advocacy journey on issues of transit, equitable mobility, and truck and bus electrification.

    Responsibilities:
    • Promote efforts to strengthen and diversify both the UCS Science Network and the Science and Community Action Network (SciCAN.org), working to recruit, engage, and provide support to members of both networks and ensuring they are truly inclusive, and values aligned.
    • Build relationships that bolster frontline communities in their battles against environmental, economic, and social injustice.
    • Design and oversee the creation and delivery of trainings, tools, and action opportunities for leaders to strengthen their impact as advocates.
    • Plan, implement, track, and evaluate tactics and initiatives that support long term online community and partnership strategies.
    • Compose and review outreach and campaign materials including action alert emails, fact sheets, talking points, social media content, and other written materials as needed, translating technical materials for varied external audiences.
    • Work with UCS communications and media staff to develop creative products and media strategies to bolster organizing efforts.
    • Ensure effective coordination with cross-programmatic relationship building and federal and state campaign activity.
    • Represent UCS and SciCAN at events and conferences, as well as more generally to the public, decisionmakers, allies, and experts.
    • Supervise interns and consultants as needed.

    • Develop metrics for, track effectiveness of, and help ensure implementation of lessons learned from campaign activities.
    • Stay informed about science advocacy, clean and equitable transportation, and community organizing-related issues.
    Qualifications:

    Position requires three to five years of relevant experience in relationship building, community organizing, and utilizing online and offline mobilization strategies, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience. Also required are: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, with a preference for experience working with racial/social justice organizations. Demonstrated ability to thoughtfully navigate issues related to diversity, justice, equity, and inclusion and a deep commitment to advancing these values. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

    • Provide support for various campaign activities, including planning trainings for UCS supporters, helping schedule and send email alerts, and providing administrative assistance for zoom meetings and webinars, as well as in-person events (eventually)
    • Provide scheduling support and note-taking for regular meetings.
    • Support project management by organizing materials, aggregating notes, and compiling next steps for project and campaign teams.
    • Support the production of reports and other materials by gathering and compiling data; helping researchers keep track of their sources; and searching, organizing, fact-checking, and summarizing material such as data, photos, and graphics.
    • Support organizational learning on issues of racial equity, justice, and dismantling oppression.
    • Support program-wide administrative needs including set-up and management of vendor contracts, processing and tracking of invoices, and management of file storage for project and program materials.
    • Support other program requirements as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Position requires at least two years of relevant experience as an administrative, executive, or research assistant.

    May spend extended periods at computer. Little to no travel is anticipated in position.

    Associate Planner, Village of Mundelein, Illinois

    Who: Village of Mundelein, Illinois

    What: The Village is seeking a highly-motivated, organized individual to serve in the role as Associate Planner. The Associate Planner reports to the Director of Community Development and assists residents, applicants, the development review boards and commissions in multiple community development projects and initiatives. The Associate will assist the Director and other staff in implementing and recommending amendments to the Village’s codes and plans and researches, plans, and develops programs related to community and economic development. Other primary duties include working on projects that benefit, enhance, and improve the Village’s economic base, housing opportunities, public spaces, communications, and community pride. Work entails collaboration with diverse organizations to develop and carry out policies and programs in the Village. The Village desires a team member that can effectively work with other departments to support projects and move them forward. Community Development is a collaborative department that works hand in glove with our colleagues on a large number of initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide customer service in the form of assistance, expertise, and guidance to residents, business owners, developers, and contractors needing services from the Community Development Department.
    • Assist in the administration and enforcement of Village ordinances.
    • Respond to inquiries related to ordinances or Village land use requirements.
    • Perform activities related to the Comprehensive Plan goals.
    • Review applications and ensure compliance with Village requirements; make recommendations to ensure compliance with applicable village codes.
    • Attend meetings, at times before and after traditional business hours, to provide assistance to the various boards and commissions as assigned by the Director of Community Development.
    • Maintain, update, develop, and recommend policies and procedures to implement plans including writing and recommending ordinances, codes, and other development controls systems.
    • Prepare grant requests and research federal, state, and private funding. Prepare applications for various development activities and participate in project administration.
    • Utilize building permit software, geographic information systems (GIS) applications, social media, Office & Adobe suite, and other programs to retrieve, disseminate, and display information.
    • Conduct outreach to businesses, residents, developers, and other organizations.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    A Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Public Administration or Policy, Geography, or a related field is required. Demonstration of critical thinking capabilities and problem solving is a must as well as the ability to plan and organize work. The position requires excellent oral, written, and public communication skills. Proficiency in use of a PC, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe required and experience with Sketchup, and other visualization software experience is valuable. The ability to speak Spanish, Russian, Polish, Korean, Tagalog or other languages proficiently a plus.

    The starting pay for this position is $32.05 hourly.
