The Urban Affairs and Planning program at Virginia Tech has an opening for a Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor appointment in the 2015-2016 academic year. Duties and responsibilities include teaching two courses per semester from among the offerings of Urban Affairs and Planning. Specifically, this includes the introductory course in urban policy and planning, plus urban and regional analysis, and a problem/project-based course on urban community and economic development.
The successful applicant must be ABD or have a doctorate in planning, policy, government, or a closely related field, with a focus in housing, or community and economic development. Previous experience in teaching at the undergraduate level is preferred.
