Job Description

This is a unique transportation planning position that will focus primarily on assisting the City of Trenton and Mercer County to advance Complete Streets by implementing a number of plans and initiatives that they have developed over the last several years. Federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) funds are being used to create this position and provide technical and staff support to implement the forthcoming bike plan, trails plan, the Trenton Complete Streets Design Handbook and other existing initiatives like Vision Zero.

Assistant Project Manager - Latin United Community Housing Association (LUCHA)

LUCHA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join the Community Development team in supporting LUCHA’s pipeline of community-driven affordable housing development projects. With the oversight and support of LUCHA’s Director of Community Development, the Assistant Project Manager will assist with all aspects of the real estate development process, from concept development through acquisition, construction, and initial occupancy.

Development Analyst I - Will County Land Use Department, Will County, Illinois

Job Summary

The Development Analyst I position is an entry-level position that assists the Development Analyst II with implementation planning and associated challenging matters of interpretation, implementation, and enforcement of related ordinances and regulations. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • assisting in the zoning application process; 
  • review of building permit applications and site plans for ordinance compliance; 
  • provides professional-level staff support to the Planning and Zoning Commission and Land Use and Development Committee; 
  • review application documents to ensure compliance with ordinances, regulations, adopted plans/policies to provide direction as needed; 
  • reviews, interprets and applies federal, state and local regulations as they relate to County ordinances; 
  • organizes and conducts meetings with applicants and the public for zoning applications and development proposals; 
  • creates maps, reports, visual presentations, site plans and renderings; 
  • communicates and collaborates with a variety of agencies, governmental departments, consultants and community organizations on zoning matters; 
  • monitors development and zoning activity.
