The Director of Historic West End will be Charlotte Center City Partners’ dedicated staff member in this dynamic community. He or she is responsible for working closely with members of the CCCP team, City staff and community stakeholders to develop a 3-year strategic plan for the Historic West End and to lead implementation efforts with professionalism and a genuine passion for the work.
Leveraging the collective resources and relationships of CCCP, the Director of Historic West End will be expected to listen, communicate and advocate on behalf of West End stakeholders.  This individual will also be responsible for coordinating with other members of the CCCP team to create and execute a marketing and communications strategy, collect and analyze relevant data, produce events and programs, and collaborate on economic development, planning and advocacy efforts. This job will require careful coordination with City & County staff, property owners, business owners, residents and others to develop and execute identified projects and initiatives. This individual will become an integral part of the Historic West End community, with connections to stakeholders that go beyond traditional business hours. The Director of Historic West End will oversee activities including, but not limited to:
  • Neighborhood Advocacy
  • Retail Development
  • Internal and External Communications and marketing
  • Transportation & Land Use Planning
  • Business Retention and Recruitment
  • Commercial and Residential Development
CCCP seeks to fill this position with a strong communicator, advocate and community builder who has experience managing complex initiatives. This position will report to the VP of Neighborhood Development. At least 5 years of work experience in direct or related fields is desired, and a 4-year degree is required.
Salary range for the position is $65,000 - $75,000 per year. CCCP offers a generous health, dental, and vision insurance package, including a flexible spending option, and a 401K retirement program.
