Park City was incorporated in 1884 and has a Mayor/Council/Manager form of government. City services include police, public works, water and wastewater, community development, parks, golf course, city bus system, parking services, library, recreation facility, ice rink and internal services. The city employs 250 FTE's, with an additional 150 FTE's of part-time and regular staff, and has an operating budget of approximately $42 million and operates on a two-year budget cycle. 
Under general direction from the City Manager, the Community Development Director develops and supports the City’s overall community development strategies through leadership and teamwork, overseeing the Planning, Transportation, Engineering, and Building departments. The Director interfaces and provides guidance to Economic Development and city housing initiatives.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Engineering or related field. At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in community development, with 5 years of experience working in a supervisory role; or a satisfactory combination of experience and education which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.  Master's degree and/or PE license preferred.
