JOB SUMMARY:
This position performs highly responsible, complex, and confidential office tasks under the general direction of the Board of Fire and Police Commission (BFPC).  This position exercises discretion and judgment on BFPC processes, answers inquiries as appropriate, and performs oversight and management of multiple professional contracts associated with the hiring and promotional processes.  Activities such as recruitment, hiring, and promotional processes comprise most of the tasks associated with the BFPC.  The remainder of the responsibilities for this position consist of administrative support for the Boarf of Fire and Police Commissioners. Position Overview

The Dept. of Commerce & Economic Opportunity is seeking to fill the Assistant Director position within the Illinois Office of Broadband to support the bureau’s lead administrator and manage a current annual operating budget of $1 million, a current capital budget of $400 million, and anticipated federal funding of a least $1 billion to supplement existing investment in broadband infrastructure deployment, community and regional planning and engagement, and digital equity and inclusion programming.

The ideal candidate will be able to help lead and support a growing office staff in grants creation, management, compliance, and technical assistance. This position will play a critical leadership role in administering and managing $1B+ across multiple grant programs within the Office of Broadband, including broadband infrastructure deployment, digital inclusion programming, and capacity building among local communities. Real Time Information Manager (Police Department) - Village of Schaumburg

This civilian position is responsible for managing the Real-Time Information Center (RTIC), as well as assisting with the daily functions and specific assigned duties, tasks, and responsibilities of the RTIC and its personnel. This position will provide guidance, manage the activities and the work of the personnel working in the RTIC, and ensure that the functions are properly supervised.  This position could be assigned the responsibility of ensuring technical resources are working in a manner to support personnel working with the RTIC systems and will serve as a liaison with Information Technology and other police divisions.   The ideal candidate will need to effectively and clearly communicate to a full range of people inside and outside the organization, and be capable of taking charge of a project, organize time and resources effectively, and complete work with accuracy.   We are looking to add a team member who can thrive in a dynamic environment and have the ability to problem solve efficiently.
