The position duties include a wide range of activities related to determining and

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education equivalent to a four-year degree from a regionally accredited institution
in Public Administration, Social Science or a closely related field; a minimum of
two years of progressively responsible work experience for a public agency, or
related work in the social service or community service field preferred.

Clarion Associates, Inc., is a national real estate and land use consulting firm that works on major
assignments for both private sector and public sector clients from its affiliated offices in Chicago,
Colorado (Denver, Ft. Part-Time Hourly Research Facilitators, UIC School of Public Health - Chicago

The *Community Outreach Intervention Projects (COIP)* at UIC School of
Public Health is hiring part-time hourly facilitators for a new research
study titled “Preventing HIV/AIDS Among Teens in Juvenile Justice (PHAT
Life).” The PHAT Life study is a 2-arm randomized controlled trial of a
uniquely-tailored intervention designed for juvenile offenders on
probation.  The program will teach teens about HIV/AIDS, sexually
transmitted infections, and safer decision-making.

Facilitators will be trained to team-teach an 8 session PHAT Life
intervention with small groups of youth (ages 13 to 17).  Most
intervention programs will occur Monday through Thursday from 5:00-7:00
pm for two consecutive weeks at probation sites in the community.
  Facilitators should expect to teach one 2-week program every 1-2
months. Position is ideal for students or those interested in picking up
additional work hours in the evening.

Qualified candidates will have a background in Public Health or
Psychology, experience teaching or working with youth, and a desire to
work with high-risk populations.  Experience with youth in the juvenile
justice setting is a plus.  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Bicycle sharing is a sustainable, healthy, and community-based transport option that enhances urban livability and mobility. Under contract with the City of Chicago DOT, Alta Bicycle Share is excited to announce the beginning of its operation of Chicago Bike Share and seeks to fill several key leadership roles leading up to system launch of 300 stations and 3000 bikes.
Alta Bicycle Share seeks an experienced Operations Manager who will have overall responsibility of the operations team, from operations planning, through launch, and into regular daily bike share operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: hiring, training, and managing key staff; overseeing bike and station assembly and installation; overall management of key functional groups; and otherwise ensuring all safety and performance standards are met or exceeded. You’ll be a part of a groundbreaking team that focuses on the successful launch of an innovative bicycle transportation system with emphasis on building strong client relationships while exceeding the highest standards for service.
Primary responsibilities
 Manage 4 key departments: station service department, bicycle service department, bicycle redistribution, and dispatch.
 Establish staffing plan and schedules necessary to achieve key performance indicators in each of the 4 key departments and beyond as needs dictate.
 Assist team in all aspects of launching Chicago Bike Share system while learning all aspects of the system. Launch activities will include:
o Training on all aspects of the bike sharing system.
o Obtaining facilities, vehicles and equipment to assemble and install hundreds of stations and thousands of bicycles.
o Coordination of multiple parties, including launch team, Chicago DOT, site planners, employees, and internal administration.
o Hiring and training hundreds of employees on assembly and installation of bikes and stations.
o Implementing established systems for health and safety, operations and data reporting.
 Lead all aspects of ongoing operations for Chicago Bike Share system after launch, including:
o Overall responsibility for “Street Team” staff on the order of 100: bicycle redistribution, bicycle maintenance, station maintenance and cleanliness, and emergency response.
o Close coordination with customer service team to listen to and serve the needs of the customers.
o Ensure safe workplace conditions and OHS compliance.
o Ensure development, improvement, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
o Ensure timely and complete record keeping in all functional areas
 Work under the guidance of the General Manager.
Requirements
 Undergraduate degree in business, operations, engineering or related field.
 Minimum 5 years of operations background, including proven experience managing large operations teams.

We are seeking an Architect / Project manager with 2-4 years of residential multi-unit work experience – new construction and adaptive reuse.

We are a fresh, fast growing firm in the West Loop area of Chicago. Some areas of specialization include residential architecture, including large multi-unit projects, single family homes, condominium conversions, as well as a variety of commercial projects (restaurants and hospitality) and urban planning developments.

We are looking for a candidate that will be involved in all stages of the project, from initial client interaction through to preparing permit / construction drawings. Team, time and task management skills are a must. AutoCAD proficiency, completed Intern Development Program (Licensure preferred), great communication skills, Chicago Zoning and Building Code understanding, attention to detail, and a passion for architecture are all required.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLASS:
Under general supervision, assists department heads with the development
of policy initiatives and strategic planning priorities. Performs
related duties as required.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Assists department heads with coordinating and developing policy
initiatives and strategic planning priorities.  Assists department heads
with assessments and project planning.  Creates a standard project
assessment template to include risks, costs, and a synopsis of issues
reported. Serves as a representative for the department head at project
meetings. Assists the department head in performance management and with
identifying operational inefficiencies and ways to implement improvement
plans for future evaluation.

Prepares written reports for management and works with department heads
to gather and convey information and projects results and assessments.
Maintains documentation required for project accountability and project
assessment.

DESIRABLE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration or related field,
supplemented  by one to three years of office administration experience;
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Good knowledge of the principles and techniques of business management.
Thorough knowledge of all phases of office management. Strong
Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Ability to work
independently.  Ability to handle multiple tasks. High level of
organizational and planning skills.
