The Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at the Indianapolis campus seeks an exceptional candidate to fill a new position of Associate Dean for Graduate and Executive Education. The Associate Dean will oversee the MPA program, the MS in Criminal Justice, and credit and noncredit Executive Education programs. A record of excellent teaching is required, and experience with NASPAA accreditation (or other academic accreditation) and/or practitioner training is preferred. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and management skills are required, and a candidate must be able to thrive in an interdisciplinary and inclusive environment.

A Ph.D. in Public Affairs, Public Management or a related social science field is required. It is expected that the position will be filled at a tenured faculty level, but non-tenure-track appointments may be considered.   • Provide personal assistant management counseling, recruitment of individuals to become personal assistants and serve as a resource referral for consumers seeking personal assistants.
    • The referral list is utilized by the consumer to assist them with the selection process.
  • Recruit train and coordinate volunteers to teach independent living skills and provide peer counseling.
  • Coordinate and prepare quarterly and annual reports where necessary. Collect client statistics and perform program evaluations.  Process personal assistant timesheets bi-monthly.
  • Develop and coordinate training efforts for the community regarding disability/independent living related issues.

Qualified candidates should have a majority of the following qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s level degree preferred.
·         Extensive experience with disability.  Preferred: understanding of independent living philosophy, experience with the Illinois Department of Human Services | Division of Rehabilitation Services | Home Services Program and experience as a Personal Assistant user preferred.

The Institute for Health Research and Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago has an immediate opening for temporary, 30-40 hour/week hourly person with experience and/or training and land use law and/or local government and policy-related research to join a project examining the impact of policy factors that may influence physical activity in community members located in jurisdictions across the United States. Working in conjunction with project investigators and other team members, the incumbent for this position will be responsible for reviewing and coding relevant policies from a sample of over 6,000 communities located throughout the United States. The policies coded will include municipal and county zoning codes, form-based codes, and SmartCodes. This position will commence immediately and will continue on or until April 30th, 2014. This is a temporary, hourly position; this is not a benefits-eligible position.
 
Key Qualifications:

Under the leadership of the Associate Vice Provost/Director, the office of Institutional Research identifies, plans and conducts research and statistical analysis in support of budgeting, strategic planning and institutional assessment.   The office provides an effective and comprehensive source of information on students, faculty and staff and is the central administrative unit responsible for collection, analysis and dissemination of institutional data for both internal decision – making and external reporting.   IR approaches all of these activities with an emphasis on continuous improvement. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited University in Education, Psychology, Statistics, Business, or related field (Quantitative analysis emphasis preferred). Eight years of demonstrated experience with quantitative research methods and statistics.  Experience in data analysis, including predictive modeling and hierarchical/longitudinal analysis. At least five years of administrative/supervisory experience in higher education, preferably in institutional research, planning, and assessment, leading, directing, and overseeing multiple functions, programs, and activities. Excellent personnel management skills with the ability to mentor and develop new staff and promote teamwork. Collaborative leadership style with a strategic and creative approach to issues, and exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Forward-thinking, innovative, and proactive in identifying problems and implementing evidence-based improvements. NATURE OF WORK:
This position performs responsible professional work to assist in the development and implementation of City of Evanston economic development programs and projects that support commercial, office, and industrial businesses and development activities.  Work for this position is primarily focused to include business retention of existing Evanston businesses, with a focus on retail business.  Additional work includes conducting marketing and business attraction work associated with bringing nationally recognized commercial businesses as well as supporting the innovation and development of new locally-based businesses. About the Job


We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator for Nexant’s Wheaton, Illinois office. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating demand side management and electrical generation projects and programs for commercial, industrial, and utility clients. Our clients include public agencies, investor-owned utilities administering ratepayer-funded energy efficiency programs, energy end users, and energy service companies. Specific responsibilities will include: working with building owners participating in utility sponsored programs, attending and facilitating meetings, and other related tasks. Successful candidates must demonstrate ability to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position. Duties and Responsibilities


·              Coordinate day-to-day aspects of projects including quality of work product, client communications, scheduling, and utilizing technical staff to service projects.

·              Maintain quality control of all deliverable products, demonstrating objectivity and clarity while maintaining project schedules.

·              Establish and maintain a professional customer rapport, including identifying and anticipating customer needs and proposing solutions.

·              Promptly and accurately address customer concerns to assure problem resolution and promote long-term productive relationships. Understand the organization and decision-making process in order to work with stakeholders in determining project eligibility, schedule and potential energy savings.

·              Manage on-time delivery of technical reports

·              Facilitate meetings with building owners, utility representatives, and sub-contractors

·              Communicate efficiently with subcontractors, customers and clients to meet program requirements

·              Other duties, as required.


Qualifications


·              BA or BS degree is required

·              Minimum of 1-3 years of project coordination experience or similar within the energy efficiency industry

·              An understanding of building energy systems preferred

·              Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects and work with technical staff

·              Excellent written and oral communication skills

·              Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills
