1.    Overview of the Community Planning & Equity Zone Initiative:
•    Under direction of the Director of Health Equity & Strategic Partnerships, this position also plans and directs the full scope of research and evaluation activities in the Office of Community Planning and Equity Zones, under the Bureau of Community Health. This includes the design, data collection, and implementation of recommendations. 2.    Overview of Office of Research and Evaluation (ORE):
•    Under direction of the Director of Epidemiology, this position plans and directs partnerships with universities and other research organizations and developing or integrating collaborative projects or special studies that aim to improve public health outcomes in the city of Chicago.  
•    CDPH Office of Research and Evaluation promotes the application of research, evaluation and assessment to CDPH in order to increase the knowledge and support recommendations for best practices for CDPH programs and services.  CDPH ORE works identify grant opportunities and grant preparation for research, evaluation, needs assessments and outcome measurement projects.  CDPH ORE serves as a liaison to local and national academic stakeholders including universities, research institutes and policy think tanks to initiate collaborative projects and integrate CDPH programs and staff into grant opportunities.  CDPH ORE promotes the increased use and creation of research and scholarship among CDPH staff and their stakeholder organizations.

Director of Development & Engagement - Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth, 48th Ward Alderwoman

Description

The Director of Development & Engagement is an essential member of the 48th Ward Aldermanic Office. They will be responsible for implementing the alderwoman’s economic development vision by liaising with key stakeholders, managing development and infrastructure projects, and serving as the point person for zoning requests. This team member will be critical to the Participatory Budgeting process and community outreach. They will provide support to colleagues and constituents by assisting in daily office needs and communication. They will receive and investigate complaints, questions, and concerns from constituents and work with ward staff and city departments to seek a resolution. Working as a member of the core ward team, the Director of Economic Development will work closely with other staff members in the office and provide additional administrative support where it’s needed.
