adoption of responsible policies to improve access for Chicago residents to culturally appropriate,

CFPAC originally formed in 2002 and attained 501c3 status in January 2011. A broad diversity of

CFPAC is entering an exciting new phase in 2017 by growing its staff to add a Community
Outreach Specialist to support CFPAC’s priorities by working in coordination with CFPAC Board
and staff members, local communities, organizations, vendors, suppliers, processors and
producers as well as staff at City of Chicago Departments and Agencies, and national partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Coordinate, build, mobilize and sustain relationships with community and organizational
partners.
● Assist with organizing the annual Chicago Food Policy Summit and other events as
needed.
● Support the efforts and administration of other CFPAC working groups and priorities.
● Maintain and report expenses as required.
● Work with partners to provide individual and group technical support regarding the
Good Food Purchasing Policy.
● Collaborate with local decision makers and elected officials.
● Ensure ongoing reporting occurs and support generating an annual report on
achievements/challenges.
● Present on CFPAC’s work at conferences, colleges & universities, and other
opportunities that arise.
● Assist with identifying and approaching local funding sources to ensure sustainability of
CFPAC’s mission.

Knowledge:

The RIMS Assistant Director plays a key role in ongoing development and implementation of an effective University records and information management program in a team environment. 

Additional responsibilities include:
Duties:

1. Provide leadership and expertise in the ongoing development and implementation of an innovative and effective University records and information management program.
2. Assure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, the University's General Rules, and all approved University policies related to records and information management.
3. Research, develop, and communicate best-practice management and preservation strategies for physical, digitized, and born-digital records maintained in distributed and diverse environments across the University.
4. Engage and collaborate with internal business, IT, program and compliance experts in all aspects of the records and information management program as needed.
5. Oversee and coordinate records and Information management services in cooperation with other RIMS staff across the University.
6. Work closely with the University Archivists and assist in the identification and transfer to archival custody records (in all formats) of enduring value.
7. Assist and provide expertise in developing, updating, and disseminating policies and procedures related to managing records and other information resources, including research data.
8. Provide supervision and oversight to other personnel and perform other duties as appropriate for an Assistant Director of RIMS.

Qualifications:

Education Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in the field of business, information technology, social sciences or a related field or advanced degree in law or LIS would substitute for these degrees.
Education Preferred:
1. Master's degree or advanced degree with a concentration in the management and organization of information assets, business information systems, information technology, organizational systems or information science.
Preferred certification(s):
1. ICRM Certified Records Manager and/or AllM ERM Masters Certification.
2. Certification by the Academy of Certified Archivists.

Knowledge Required:

This position applies basic knowledge of supply chain operations and logistics principles to assist with delivering day-to-day transportation services to CPS students city-wide. Duties include basic to medium complexity data analysis to develop and implement route changes, drawing autonomous conclusions to propose recommendations for new policies and procedures, managing small to medium size vendors to ensure quality and safety of transportation services for CPS students, including students with special needs and / or disabilities. The work is performed under general supervision.

JOB PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis, Recommendation and Development of Bus Runs:
  • Uses a variety of sources (such as Edulog, Zonar/Edutracker GPS systems, city road closures and construction materials, etc.) and abstract thinking skills to gather, sort, compile / break down and analyze transportation and student data to recommend and develop an optimal number of single bus runs through the metropolitan area of Chicago.
  • May develop some basic city-wide bus routes.
Identifies Tiering Feasibility:
  • Determines the operational feasibility of current run pairings through comparative analysis of multiple data systems. 
Logistical and Statistical Data Analysis:
  • Utilizes transportation routing software to coordinate and review various data (stop creation, student type, school information, bell time) and transportation requirements of eligible students from various audiences (such as diversity groups) to recommend optimal runs.
  • Works with school transportation coordinators and bus monitors to validate student ridership data.
  • Generates and analyzes various reports, such as vendor change and vendor summary reports.
Vendor Management:
  • Generates and analyzes various reports, such as vendor change and vendor summary reports to monitor and evaluate vendor performance levels at assigned schools.
  • Aggregates, distributes, and manages daily vendor KPI’s.
  • Fosters successful business relationships with assigned small to medium size vendors.
Communicates with various internal and external audiences:
  • Provides guidance and explanations on detailed bus runs information and changes due to a range of circumstances to various audiences (schools, vendors, parents, and students). Some information conveyed to the audiences is of critical nature.
  • Answers routine questions / investigates and resolves basic inquiries / concerns from parents, general public and CPS staff concerning bus routing, scheduling, and school boundaries and escalates highly complex inquiries to the senior staff. Utilizes independent judgment and tact when dealing with some conflicting situations.
  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned. 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS AND KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
  • Associate degree in logistics, supply chain management, hospitality, information technology, business or related field. Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, hospitality, information technology, business or related field is preferred.
