Duties

Under general supervision, the position will be responsible for coordinating the administrative aspects of the Trucking Program within the New Construction Division.

Collect daily and weekly truck requests from construction crew Foremen.

Prepare schedules assigning dump trucks to crews based on truck requests and contract specifications and generating various program reports.

Responsible for ensuring contract specifications for truck requests are compiled through the assignment of trucks (e.g., weight limits are maintained).

Monitoring the location of trucks throughout the workday through the use of GPS.

Work with the Foreman throughout the workday on the re-assignment of trucks.

Contact vendor dispatch offices to ensure trucks are dispatched appropriately.

Review and approve vendor invoices for payment.

Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning or a related field, supplemented by three years of progressively responsible experience in program administration, or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.

Selection Criteria

This position requires applicants to complete an interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:

Supervisory experience related to the responsibilities of this position.

Previous work experience with dispatching motor driven vehicles or fleet operations.

Previous work experience with conducting research and preparing narrative statistical reports.

Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Proficiency in Computer Aided Drafting or GIS (geographical) software.

Previous service in the Armed Forces of the U.S. on active duty continually for six months and have not been dishonorably discharged.

Evaluation
