Research Analyst - Democracy Forward

Democracy Forward seeks a highly collaborative early career analyst to join its team of litigators and policy professionals to help track and assess emerging K-12 education policy and legal trends at the state and local levels.  The Education Research Analyst will help drive Democracy Forward’s research and data collection of state and local attacks on educational equity (including censorship, book bans, anti-diversity curriculum measures, and legal challenges to pro-equity policies, privatization, and community responses).  The role will identify and track these trends, help maintain and develop Democracy Forward’s data systems, work across the organization to develop timely and insightful analysis, and support Democracy Forward’s collaboration with key stakeholders and partners outside the organization to turn data into action.

Capacity Building Analyst at Feeding America

The Capacity Building Analyst will leverage data to advance Feeding America’s capacity building services. The Shared-Use Mobility Center (SUMC) is a non-profit public interest organization promoting multimodal transportation systems that work for all. Through pilot projects, applied research, capacity-building, and technical assistance, SUMC helps communities realize a vision of an equitable and sustainable mobility future.

SUMC is expanding its technical assistance, capacity-building, research, and convening efforts through partnerships with the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), the State of California, and other public partners. Among other activities, SUMC is part of a capacity-building team for the USDOT’s Thriving Communities Program supporting disadvantaged and under-resourced communities, enabling them to advance transportation projects that support community-driven economic development, health, environment, mobility, and access goals.
