City and Borough of Sitka seeks a Senior Planner to perform advanced professional and technical work in the field of land use planning. Work involves a leadership role in administrating planning, zoning, code and land development. Works with and reports to the Planning and Community Development Director and works closely with staff, officials and the general public in matters pertaining to planning, zoning and subdivision issues.
Salary $67,995.20 - $80,828.80 DOE. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Urban Planning, or closely related field; 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in local planning, supervisory experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work, must possess or able to possess Alaska driver’s license.
