About the Rose Fellowship
The Enterprise Rose Architectural Fellowship partners early-career architectural designers with local community development organizations for a three-year term where they facilitate an inclusive approach to development to create green, sustainable, and affordable communities. As an integral staff member of the organization, the fellow will focus on advancing the organization’s practices in community engagement, sustainability and design excellence. By becoming a fellow, you join a growing network of passionate and talented public interest designers who are continuously changing what is possible in community development.
About Hudson River Housing    
Hudson River Housing has served Poughkeepsie and broader Dutchess County, New York for thirty years, and seeks a Rose Fellow to contribute their design and project management skills on current and future projects, facilitate analysis and recommendations for future investment in the area, and collaborate with the HRH team in building a model for inclusive, sustainable neighborhood revitalization in smaller communities that others CDCs can learn from.
MASS Design Group (www.massdesigngroup.org/) is a trusted partner of HRH and will work closely with the Rose Fellow on the multiple projects making up the Middle Main Poughkeepsie Initiative, including affordable housing and adaptive reuse of historic industrial buildings such as the Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory.  
Eligibility:
  • NAAB-Accredited Professional Architecture Degree (B.Arch, M.Arch, or D.Arch)
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for the entire fellowship period
Selection Criteria:
  • Architectural, academic and community experience
  • Essays and response to work plan
  • Design portfolio
  • Recommendations
  • In-person Interview
