Ideal Candidate Profile: The preferred candidate will bring these skills and strengths:

  • Thorough knowledge of and ability to effectively apply principles and best practices of administration in the public sector, including methods and techniques used in fiscal administration, project management, program evaluation and strategic planning.

To Qualify:
Required Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:
  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, business administration or related field; AND
  • At least five years of experience as a subject matter expert in land use planning, programs and laws.
  • An equivalent combination of qualifying professional level experience and relevant education that provides the required knowledge and abilities may be considered.
Preferred Special Qualifications/Transferable Skills*: You do not need to have the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills to qualify. However, keep in mind we may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates. Please clearly explain on your application how you meet any of the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills.
  • A Master’s degree is preferred and can substitute for two years management experience.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible management experience, having held a leadership role in a substantial and complex government agency, a not-for-profit, or a for-profit corporation that involves leading a diverse staff and management of significant funds is ideal and a record of successfully completing increasingly difficult assignments having significant impact or risk.
