Research Associate I, The Institute for Health Research and Policy - Chicago, IL (multiple positions)

Research Hourly- Research Associate I Position

The Institute for Health Research and Policy is seeking multiple Research Hourly- Research Associate I employees.  We are looking for responsible individuals interested in gaining community-based research experience for an ongoing project.
These positions are short term and are available late June through August.   The candidates will need to travel 100% of the time to tobacco retailers located within the city of Chicago to conduct observational data collection of the tobacco retail environment.  Data collection will take place during weekday business hours, which will require travel to retail locations.  All retailers are located within the city of Chicago. Up to 20 tobacco retailer locations may be observed per day, with the possibility of working up to 25 hours per week.  The Research Associate I Field data collectors will be trained to use the data collection tool at a mandatory training at IHRP.  Responsibilities may also include data cleaning and data entry.
A Bachelor’s degree in education, social science, health science or related field and human subject’s research training required.
