CMT seeks an Experienced Aviation Planner for our Springfield, IL or St. Louis, MO offices. Responsibilities include assisting public entity clients in developing and achieving their airport's vision. Projects will include development of all phases of airport master plans, airport layout plans (ALPs), environmental studies, project justification and funding documents, land acquisition, simulating modeling, and client and agency coordination as part of a team of aviation professionals.

The successful candidate will possess:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in airport management, urban planning, aviation sciences, or civil/transportation engineering.
  • Minimum of two years' experience and a preference for less than six years of experience in airport planning or related industry practice
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical skills to include a working knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications
  • Current experience using AutoCAD
  • Understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA guidance documents and aviation industry best practices
  • Ability to work well with people in a collaborative environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Preference will be given to candidates living in proximity to the work location.
