SALARY -  $ 57,855.20  to  $ 70,331.04  + $ 914.60/mo. Cafeteria Benefit 
Under the direction of the Planning Director, the Associate Planner performs mid-level current and advanced planning activities.  Assists in development and implementation of planning policies and programs, prepares planning studies and reports, answers inquiries on planning, zoning, and permit processing.
Min Req–  BS degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in planning, architecture, landscape architecture, geography, or related field. Minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience, including significant experience processing planning development projects in a public sector; experience dealing with growth and large developments is highly desirable. Knowledge of principles and practices of urban planning; State planning law; CEQA; municipal code provisions; progressive planning principles; standard operating policies; site planning and architectural review. Master’s Degree is desirable and may be substituted for one year of work experience. AICP certification is also highly desirable.
