The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is seeking a motivated transportation planning and design professional to serve as Transportation Planning Manager IV, Countywide Planning & Development – System wide Planning.This is an exciting time to join Metro and actively participate in the rapid growth of the regional transit system which will expand mobility options and transform how people move around Los Angeles County.
This position will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of initiatives to create consistency in the planning, design and implementation of transit projects and ensure systemwide integration, continuity and branding. Projects will include supporting the passenger experience by improving the physical integration of rail, bus and other modes of transportation, and fostering strong connections with the surrounding community and urban environment.
The incumbent must have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in transportation planning, architecture, urban design, or related field. The preferred candidate must also possess exceptional communication and project management skills. The position requires a BA/BS degree, with a Master’s degree desirable.
