Landmarks Illinois is pleased to announce the opening of our new position to fulfill the organization’s strategic goal of expanding our work as the statewide, nonprofit preservation organization.  Landmarks Illinois is seeking a self-motivated, organized, and dedicated historic preservation professional to open our first field office as the

Springfield Field Office Director.
The Springfield Field Office Director will be responsible for providing service-driven, direct advocacy, educational, and technical assistance support to a broad group of stakeholders in downstate Illinois.  The objectives of this position are to save places that matter, empower local citizens to preserve their communities, and strengthen Landmarks Illinois’ stakeholder network to foster a greater preservation ethic across the state.
The Springfield Field Director position is a full-time, salaried position with the salary level being negotiated commensurate with experience.  The successful candidate will have access to organizational benefits including health, dental, and life insurance, as well as paid holiday, sick, and vacation time.  After the first year of employment with Landmarks Illinois, the Director is also eligible for Landmarks Illinois’ retirement plan.
