Study Abroad Asst. Position, Office of Special Scholarships, UIC - Chicago


The Office of Special Scholarship Programs at UIC is seeking a temporary employee to cover leave for a staff member between mid-January and mid-April for about 30 hours a week. A bachelor’s degree is required. A brief description is below:

The position advises students on the availability of study abroad scholarships and assists students with essay writing for study abroad scholarships and government scholarships. This person coordinates with the Study Abroad Office and the Office of International Affairs on the recruitment and preparation of applicants. The position provides assistance with day-to-day budget issues, manages student workers, maintains the unit’s website and listserv, coordinates scholarship recruitment efforts and performs general office duties as needed. This position is capped at 900 hours and is not eligible for UIC benefit plans. Applicants should send a cover letter and a resume as soon as possible (by Jan 9 , 2013).
