SWA seeks a Marketing Manager for its Sausalito, California, office. This person will be responsible for ensuring successful internal marketing support and assisting with external business development efforts. 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Understand SWA’s portfolio of work, practice areas, and capabilities
  • Coordinate, produce, and write winning responses to RFP/RFQs
  • Proactively follow up on leads for new work, establishing contacts and building relationships with client representatives
  • Support directives from Sausalito’s Principals for acquiring and maintaining a consistent flow of the right kinds of projects, and create/uncover new job prospects/contacts in their markets of interest
  • Prepare presentation and business development support materials
  • Identify new opportunities by networking with other design firms and industry participants; identify and recommend promising events/conferences for Principals to attend 
Qualifications:
  • Excellent copywriting skills together with clear and concise communications skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, communications or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in marketing coordination and communication, and/or public relations within the design industry
  • Strong conceptual, graphic design, and visualization skills
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software programs
  • Ability to work on an independent basis together with Principals skill sets, and work styles
  • Current Bay Area resident strongly preferred
Required: a positive, “can do” attitude and desire to complete important tasks on deadline. Passion for design and dedication to providing service to design professionals. Strong sense of personal initiative and responsibility. Willingness to work with others, both inside and outside the firm, in a collaborative, respectful, service-minded manner.
