The firm seeks to hire and retain an energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated Landscape Architect who is passionate, collaborative, and responsible, to join the Chicago office.
Nadi Design provides a supportive atmosphere of entrepreneurial growth for this position. It also supports a can-do attitude towards building client relationships and the pursuit of increasingly complex project opportunities. The selected candidate will join a successful, international office of designers, planners, and landscape architects in support of public and private sector projects throughout Chicagoland, the surrounding states, and beyond.
Basic Job Description: 
The successful candidate will report directly to the firm’s Principal/CEO, play a significant business development role, and be responsible for all phases of the Chicago office’s landscape architecture & urban design projects. This individual will manage and lead master plan and site plan design, preliminary design, design development and the preparation of construction plans and specifications. He/she will coordinate contracts and project invoicing, will schedule technical reviews, and will serve as key point of contact with local clients. The successful candidate must demonstrate relevant knowledge/experience in several of the firm’s Practice Areas, including Neighbourhood Design, Parks & Public Spaces, Town Centres & Squares, Sustainable Design, and Community Master Planning. Travel (including international travel) is to be expected as collaboration with colleagues in other offices will be anticipated.
Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture and/or Urban Design from an accredited program;
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Landscape Architecture and/or Urban Design;
  • RLA/ASLA (Landscape Architect) license/registration or equivalent;
  • Proficient in VectorWorks (or AutoCAD), Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office and Sketch Up
  • Hand drawing and graphic skills (plan and section/elevation);
  • Passion for design and the profession;
  • An interest in expanding their Landscape and hardscape design experience;
  • Organized, innovative and ambitious;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
