The GIS Technician will work on a variety of ongoing environmental, civil, transportation, and gas, and projects. In addition to GIS assignments, the candidate will have the opportunity to work on Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) drawings. This position requires extensive interaction with scientists, engineers, and project managers.
Location
Downers Grove, IL (candidate must have reliable transportation to and from office site)
Training and Experience
•Education: BA/BS in Geography, GIS, Engineering, Planning, or related field
•0-2 years of GIS experience preferred
•Proficiency using ESRI ArcGIS products
•Cartographic skills
•Experience working in AutoCAD
Professional skills should include:
•Well organized and detail oriented
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to work with a diverse group of people on a variety of projects
•Ability to transition quickly between projects based on tight schedule deadlines
