The City of Palo Alto is seeking a Planner to join the Planning and Community Environment department’s long range planning team. This program is handling some of the more complex and challenging issues facing the community and is currently updating the city’s comprehensive plan and several other policy initiatives that will shape the community in the future. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in affordable housing and interest in building team strength by becoming an expert in the city’s local below market housing program. The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, be well versed in land use planning and transportation principles and be confident in his/her abilities.
