We expect candidates to be able to generally contribute to our undergraduate major in political science, our Master of Coastal and Ocean Policy (MCOP) program, and/or our Master of Conflict Resolution (MCR) program.  A doctorate in Public Administration, Public Affairs, Public Policy, Political Science, Planning, or a closely related field is required or must be obtained within the first academic year of employment. Prior professional experience is desirable.  The successful candidate must be able to teach urban/regional/town planning related courses in the MPA/MCOP programs.  The successful candidate should also be able to contribute core courses to the MPA curriculum (such as budgeting and/or human resources management) and advise students in the urban and regional politics and planning concentration.  A willingness to teach courses using online and distance education technologies and alternative scheduling formats is desired.
