Apply your related education and experience to a career opportunity in leading the City of Asheville's Sustainability Division. Serve as the next administrator of the City’s Sustainability Plan and as the lead staff liaison for the Sustainability Advisory Committee on Energy and the Environment (SACEE). The employee is responsible for internal and external communication regarding energy management and waste reduction and provides technical expertise and recommendations to achieve sustainability goals. Exempt position, Full-Time 37.5 Hrs Week Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, with weekend/evening meetings as needed.

| QUALIFICATIONS: |
Bachelors degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in environmental science, public administration or a closely related field and 3 -5 years of increasingly responsible experience in environmental sciences/sustainability including experience with sustainability or energy planning and program implementation; and/or any equivalent combination of training and experience required to perform the essential position functions.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina.
