We have one vacancy for either a Senior Planner or Principal Planner.
Senior Planner range is $56,523 to $87,484 annually
Principal Planner range is $62,316 to $96,451 annually
Minimum Qualifications for Senior Planner:
•Master’s Degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. 
•Four years of professional planning experience, including some experience with the management of planning projects.
•Must possess or have ability to obtain within first sixty days of employment and must maintain a valid New Mexico Class “D” driver’s license.
Additional Qualifications for Principal Planner:
•Additional one year of professional planning experience.
•One year experience in the management of complex planning projects.
•Must possess and maintain certification by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience working in a municipality or other public entity.
•Economic development planning and development project support experience.
Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Community & Economic Development Director or Designee, manages planning application cases, drafts, interprets and applies county community planning codes, ordinances, and policies to provide services to the public, the department, other departments and county administration.   Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
