Part-time (50%) Extra Help Hourly Field Data Collector (Bi-Lingual Required)
The University of Illinois’ Center for Prevention Research & Development (CPRD) within the University of Illinois’ Institute of Government and Public Affairs seeks a part-time (20 hours per week), hourly Field Data Collector. CPRD is conducting the evaluation and benchmarking analysis of the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Programs (MIECHV). MIECHV is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services as part of the prevention service strategies under the Affordable Care Act – 2012. MIECHV is a national program that is funded in 6 communities across Illinois including – Chicago, Elgin, Cicero, Rockford, Decatur and Danville.
The Field Data Collector will travel primarily in the West side of Chicago (Cicero) area to conduct home visits and conduct assessments regarding the impact of home visitation services on young high-risk mothers. A Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human development, child development, or other social sciences (Masters preferred in a related field) and two years of clinical or research experience, and experience working with vulnerable populations is required. Incumbents must have a valid driver's license; reliable transportation and ability to travel from city to city within the State of Illinois. Candidate must be bi-lingual. This is a part-time, hourly Extra Help professional position. This position could potentially become a part time visiting position in the future.
