The City of Healdsburg, population approximately 12,000, is located in the heart of Sonoma County wine country and nestled among three lush valleys. 
The City is currently seeking a Senior Planner who will be responsible for coordinating, organizing, and performing executive level work in the field of advanced municipal planning.  This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is well versed in CEQA Guidelines, subdivisions, housing policy, land use law and zoning. 
The ideal candidate must conduct their work with the highest level of integrity, and be a collaborative and supportive team member.  A customer service oriented individual with the creative vision for the future of City planning will excel in this position.  The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional who is capable of handling complex planning projects while ensuring the City is in compliance with applicable ordinances and regulations. 
An individual with advanced planning experience, strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively is being sought.  Candidates must have graduated from a four-year college or university with major coursework in City, regional, or urban planning or a closely related field and five years of professional planning experience.  A Master’s degree and AICP designation are desirable. 
The salary range for the Senior Planner is $8,036-$9,805 monthly and is dependent upon qualifications.
