Resonance Consultancy creates destination development strategies and plans that shape the future of communities and cities around the world. We’re seeking a Vancouver-based Project manager / Planning Analyst (PMA) with experience in quantitative research methods, urban planning, project management and tourism development to join our team. This is a full time position for one year that could lead to a permanent position.
The PMA is key to maintaining the relationship between Resonance and its clients while also managing the workflow of the planning process for our strategic planning projects. The PMA should have excellent people skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of personalities in multiple languages. They develop senior-level client relationships and should be regarded as an expert and trusted advisor.
The PMA is responsible for coordinating the consulting team, prioritizing project assignments and ensuring that work flows smoothly to meet client expectations. To this end, the PMA is responsible for keeping and updating a Weekly Project Status Report for each of their projects.
In addition, the PMA plays a key role in developing the thought leadership of Resonance through the ongoing collection and analysis of both core statistics and social media ratings and reviews for communities, cities and countries around the world.
• Identifies key deliverables, creates timelines and assigns responsibilities.
• Schedules and leads project meetings, clearly communicating agenda and results of meetings to all participants.
• Provides management ability to lead internal teams to prioritize their work and perform at the highest level.
• Manages project resources, including assets from client and internal documents.
• Tracks and reports on progress of project against project critical path.
• Collects and analyzes key third-party statistics and produces infographics, charts and presentations with respect to economic development, innovation and livability for cities, regions and countries.
• Manages the development, deployment, analysis and reporting of online surveys and other quantitative research programs for clients.
• Collects, analyzes and maps data sourced in social media channels utilizing GIS mapping software.
• Continues to train and develop knowledge of new research and data mapping technologies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
‣ Master degree in Urban Planning and/or Sustainable Development
‣ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with fluency in French and/or Spanish.
‣ A minimum of two years of proven and related project management experience and organization skills
‣ A minimum of two years of proven quantitative research experience collecting and analyzing economic and livability statistics to create city benchmarking performance reports.
