The Village of Arlington Heights, Illinois, is one of the largest Chicago suburbs with a population of 75,100. The Village is seeking a well-qualified professional who preferably possesses a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related field, and 3 or more years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. The employee in this position will be responsible for coordinating many challenging development projects. Responsibilities also include coordinating the development review process, zoning and signage review. Meets with businesses, developers, architects and members of the public on a consistent basis. Acts as liaison to the Plan Commission. Knowledge of zoning and development entitlement process required, ability to draw site plan review modifications desirable. Applicants should possess excellent computer skills, writing and presentation skills.
