Lamphier-Gregory is seeking to hire an Environmental Planner to meet our expanding work load. We are a small Oakland based consulting firm. We have been in business for over 35 years, and our primary services include environmental analysis pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Our clients include cities, counties, LAFCOs, municipal utilities and private sector clients, principally in the San Francisco Bay Area and northern Central Valley communities. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position must have a graduate degree in Planning or Environmental Studies or an undergraduate degree and at least 2 to 4 years of planning/environmental experience. Strong written communications skills are essential for the position. (Please be prepared to present a writing sample.) The Planner must be self-motivated and have skills to work independently in assessing technical plans and reports, and the ability to work directly with clients and technical subconsultants.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Planner will provide support for a variety of planning projects that require California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance (e.g., Initial Studies and Environmental Impact Reports). Under the direction of a Project Manager, the Planner will conduct research, analyze project’s for consistency with applicable planning policies, draft sections of CEQA documents, assist in document production, and provide support for marketing and proposal writing.
