Since 1974, NCTCOG has served as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for transportation in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area and is responsible for developing transportation plans and programs that address the complex needs of the rapidly growing area.
The planning area for transportation includes the 12 counties of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, and Wise.
The Transportation Department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments is seeking Planners in the following program areas: Senior Transportation Planner or Transportation Planner III – Aviation Planning and Education – support and carry out the development, implementation, and long-range planning related to general aviation in North Central Texas.
Transportation/Air Quality Planner I or II – Air Quality Planning and Operations – assist with the creation and implementation of innovative emission reduction strategies to improve air quality in the North Central Texas region.
