City Treasurer's Office - Economic Development Team & Public Relations Team

The City Treasurer's Office is seeking two interns to assist with community outreach, public policy research and formation, and
public relations. Issues that the Office deals with include financial literacy, small business support and access to banking. A strong candidate will have strong writing skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited college, university,
or law school OR a student in good academic standing currently enrolled in an accredited business or data processing/information technology school. Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale or a 3.5 on a 5.0 grading scale.

Preference will be given to the following candidates:
• Graduate Students majoring in Public Policy, Public Administration or Journalism
• Graduate Students with at least a G.PA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale or a 4.0 on a 5.0 grading scale

Salary: $14.00 per hour

Duties:
• The policy intern will help execute community outreach programs and help formulate new public policy initiatives.
• The press intern will help create and distribute press materials, and develop programs and events for the City Treasurer's
Office to promote positive media and public relations.
• Performs related duties as required

Address: 121 N. LaSalle, Rm 106
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: Hours will vary from 8:30 - 4:30

NOTE: This is a temporary, part-time position. Selected students are expected to work at least 15-20 hours per week.
