Business/Administrative Associate
Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research/Conflict of Interest
An employee in this position would be responsible for the coordination, management and support activities associated with the Conflict of Interest and Conflict of Commitment programs. This includes providing guidance to UIC faculty, staff and students on Conflict of Interest and Conflict of Commitment policies, procedures and federal regulations, preparing materials for Conflict Review Committee meetings, coordinating educational workshops, and reviewing current policies and procedures to propose modifications.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or in a related field.
2. Two years of professional level accounting, managerial and/or business experience, one year of which was at an administrative level
3. Relevant experience in a higher education setting preferably with experience in research administrative policies.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
1. Strong interpersonal, management and communication skills.
2. Knowledge of basic information systems (Word, Excel, Adobe, and other database applications).
