The Associate Director of Development: Communication is responsible for the coordination and management of messaging and marketing related to fundraising and activities/events intended to cultivate and solicit friends and donors on behalf of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS). This position also provides communication expertise to the Office of Advancement's stewardship program which addresses our responsibility to honor and protect the resources, both personal and financial, that donors and volunteers entrust to the University. Responsibilities include the creation and oversight of a plan for advancement communication; management and editing of regular communication and marketing materials; collaboration on giving and communication strategies; assistance in developing annual fund materials; providing counsel to LAS departments and units about development related initiatives; and assisting other University units in coordinating LAS messages. Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred. Three to five years experience in communication and marketing in complex organization---experience in higher education and not-for-profit setting a plus.
