Job Description
Provide communication, administrative and marketing support for Marketing & Communications department which provides communications support to this health care organization who sets the standards for physicians specialists. Emphasis on writing and editing projects, and overseeing content for communications projects and program support. Additional support for coordinating communications for publications and marketing departments. The Marketing & Communications Specialist will work with the entire Marketing & Communications department on projects and programs as necessary.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Working on publications; edit, write and oversee communications programs for ABMS' different communications strategies and special projects; ensuring leads generated from marketing campaigns are entered into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; reporting on marketing program activities, customer files and standard reports/spreadsheets; layout and design brochures and other materials for meetings, workshops, etc.; assist when needed on coordinating activities of production from either internal sources, such as Admin staff, or with external resources, such as printers; help in the preparation of meeting materials and workshops, provide summaries for target audiences; ensure ABMS guidelines are met by all audiences; assist Social Media strategy and development; assist with pre- and post-show mailings and mailings to committee membership of gifts and thank you letters;
Job Requirements

Health care writing or association experience is preferred. Five to seven years in communications environment, PR, design or marketing firm and/or a equivalent experience in a professional environment.

Attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills and strong writing ability. Ability to work on multiple projects independently and work as a team with department to meet objectives of ABMS. Strong skills in general office software for work processing, spreadsheets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Adobe Suite and other graphic programs a strong desire.
