Coordinator, Grants and Contracts - Biopharmaceutical Sciences

The Coordinator, Grants and Contacts performs professional-level duties to
support the sponsored research activities of the Department of
Biopharmaceutical Sciences. UIC is an AA/EOE.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the processing of contract and
grant-related transactions, the creation and management of project budgets,
tracking of grant personnel, and the coordination of reporting requirements
throughout the contract or grant lifecycle. This position will provide
administrative assistance as required to the individual principle
investigators and to the Assistant to the Head to ensure effective
management of resources and compliance with applicable policies, procedures,
rules, and regulations of sponsoring agencies, the university and applicable
state and federal requirements.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required along with strong accounting
background, excellent computer skills, and 2-5 years of relevant experience
in coordinating research programs and familiarity with Federal sponsor
requirements. Also required are excellent analytical, organizational and
interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask. Knowledge of Excel and
Access, and experience with university systems and post-award research
activities strongly preferred.
