Wood Rodgers, a progressive multi-disciplinary civil engineering consulting firm based in Sacramento, California, is looking for a senior-level, creative individual with 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience preparing specific plans, PUD Guidelines, tentative subdivision maps, conceptual site plans and other planning related documents for large-scale master planned communicates or small-scale infill development projects. 
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in one or more of the following:  City & Regional Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related field. 
Daily tasks require leadership qualities and ability to prepare or direct staff to complete planning documents.  We are seeking candidates that can demonstrate the following qualities:
-        Thorough knowledge of urban design and planning issues including site planning, zoning, infrastructure and utility design, and sustainable design approaches.
-        Experience with land planning documents, General Plans, Zoning, PUD (Planned Unit Development) guidelines, and related reports and correspondence.
-        Urban design skills, conceptual site planning, grading design, etc.
-        Excellent people management and strong team leadership with ability to listen and collaborate effectively.
-        Ability to communicate clearly, both in verbal and written form, with clients, agency staff, outside consultants, in-house staff and others.
-        Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other graphic software programs.  GIS (Geographic Information System) skills are desired but not required.  Hand sketching ability is highly desirable.
