Faculty Search Announcement: ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE
(MANAGEMENT) NYU Wagner
The Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty member in Management to begin in fall 2016. We expect to hire at the rank of Assistant Professor, but have the ability to hire at the associate level. Applicants should have a strong interest in research on management and/or organizations in arenas that create social impact. These may include public or nonprofit agencies, hybrid, quasi- governmental, and philanthropic institutions, as well as networks and partnerships where the public, private and nonprofit sectors intersect. We are particularly interested in candidates with an established research record. Applicants should be interested in teaching graduate management courses, particularly in the areas of strategic management, organizational behavior, performance measurement and management, or policy implementation. Applicants must have or expect to receive a PhD in a field related to management and organizations before taking up this position.

NYU Wagner emphasizes the study of organizations and management and their intersection with public policy at the local, regional, national, and international levels. Current full-time Management faculty have diverse intellectual backgrounds, including organizational behavior, organization studies, sociology, political science, health management, and public and nonprofit management. Wagner faculty members collaborate with other schools and departments across the university, including the Stern School of Business, the Steinhardt School of Education, Sociology Department, and the College of Global Public Health.
