Geospatial Technician
Ayres Associates - Madison, WI
Qualifications:
  • Qualified candidates will have education in Geography, Remotes Sensing, GIS, Land Survey or another related field.
  • Knowledgeable with ESRI, Integraph, GeoCue, ERDAS, MicroStation or similar software products.
  • Programming/scripting knowledge is beneficial.
  • Able to communicate and interact effectively and successfully with supervisors, technicians, and other staff.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation to travel to the office.
  • This position is expected to consist of approximately 10 – 30 hours/week depending on workload. Duration of position will vary.
Responsibilities: This individual will work under the direct supervision of geospatial staff. Responsibilities may include:
  • Preparing orthoimagery, LiDAR data, reports, maps, and GIS data
  • Performing a variety of assignments, requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
  • Performing remote sensing, UAV/UAS operation, programming and spatial analysis
  • Position may include performing data collection in the field
