Ph.D. or DPA in Political Science, Public Administration or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education. We are seeking a generalist in public administration to join the faculty nucleus of our NASPAA-accredited Master of Science in Public Administration program. The MSPA prepares students for leadership in professional public and community service within a diverse and dynamic urban environment. The position includes serving as MSPA Graduate Advisor, and teaching and doing research in one or more of the following areas: public administration, public management, collaborative governance, leadership, e-governance, or social policy. Interest and ability to teach the introduction to American government is required. The successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence in teaching at a college level, a record of scholarly activity, involving students whenever possible, and must be able to teach the introduction to American government. Applicants should have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment, and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.
