CEVA Logistics provides Fortune 500 companies value-added supply chain services, such as network design/redesign, high-velocity cross docks, fulfillment centers, sequencing, kitting, sub-assembly, return logistics, dedicated contract transportation and e-Commerce solutions.
We are currently recruiting for a Transportation Analyst.
Qualified candidates will provide tactical network optimization and variance analysis for the customer' supply chain. Variance analysis will include daily, weekly and monthly report requirements. Transportation Analyst(s) will, through the daily monitoring of the customer Transportation Network, identify potential inefficiencies and identity cost improvements, monitor daily activity to reinforce compliance proactively following-up with both carriers and suppliers.
Essential Functions (add essential functions in a bullet point format)
.Transportation Analyst tasks:
. Compile KPI metrics
. Management of the following database information:
* Carrier
* Supplier
* Customer Location
. Provide Lead Transportation Analyst all relevant information for meetings with carriers
. Responsible for route template maintenance
. Record all requests from faxes and invoices in the system
. Provide complete daily, weekly and monthly reporting requirements for performance, compliance and invoicing
. Model / Plant Cost Allocation
. Work with customer locations and vendors to provide transportation carrier tor requested transportation
. Perform routing analysis at tactical level
. Organize and maintain files and logbooks of daily shipments
. Assist Freight Audit in processing of invoices
. Document and report on carrier damage counts
. Coordinate with LLP Material Follow-up Specialists as it pertains to Transportation Planning tor customer
. Support Expeditor with open capacity (buddy routes)
. Search for and develop transportation savings
. Act as backup for Expeditor positions
Required Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Transportation/Logistics or related field. PC literate and ability to use various software packages such as Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes. Ability to know and learn i2 Transportation Manager, Paragon Routing Package, CEVA and customer's proprietary systems.
Excellent verbal/written communication and analytical skills. Strong Customer Service skills. Two to four years of related experience in the transportation industry. Strong analytical, deductive and organizational skills required. Proven ability to work in stressful situations, white providing extraordinary customer service when calling back suppliers and customers. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram formulas and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Skill to write routine reports and correspondence. Skill to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area and volume.
