INTERNSHIP: Summer internship in community finance - Seaway Bank

Summer internship in community finance - Seaway Bank

For those of you interested in community development finance, Seaway Bank (a local
minority-owned bank on the South Side) offers paid summer internships. While some of
the internships likely focus on conventional banking activities, the bank has its
own community development corporation that could be an interesting place for a MUPP
in community or economic development to intern.

"Internships During the summer, up to 10 students—most of whom are majoring in
finance, economics, or marketing—receive full-time, paid internships at Seaway. The
10-week training allows students to go beyond their classroom instruction and
experience first hand the various aspects of the banking industry. Since the program
began in 1987, some interns have returned following graduation to pursue their
career goals at Seaway.

For more information, contact Seaway's Human Resources Department at 773-602-4146."
