is a non-profit, non-partisan resource center promoting corporate and
government accountability in economic development and smart growth for
working families. We now seek a Washington, DC analyst/blogger for work
on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA, the $787
billion federal stimulus bill).

This job is tied to project funding and ARRA; it is projected to be of 12
months' duration.

Applicants must have:

* familiarity with the Recovery Act

* demonstrated commitment to social and economic justice

* outreach and writing skills, an extroverted work style

* writing and blogging experience on public policy issues

* an undergraduate college degree, preferably with course concentrations
in areas such as public finance, economic development, public policy,
energy policy, planning/land use, economics, business, environmental
studies or journalism

Other desirable qualifications:

* knowledge of federal transportation funding issues

* knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software

* knowledge of constituency-based justice networks such as community
organizing/community reinvestment, organized labor, tax and budget
fairness, environmentalism or environmental justice, and/or smart growth
movements

* A graduate degree or equivalent professional experience

This is an opportunity for rewarding work in a fast-paced teamwork

commensurate with experience and includes healthcare, retirement
