INTERNSHIP: Illinois Art Alliance
The Illinois Arts Alliance is looking for an intern in the future to
work on two projects as described below.
1) research to support the Alliance's Mayoral candidate arts policy
education initiative, and 2) the Local Arts Index (LAI), a multi-site
initiative by Americans for the Arts to measure the health and vitality
of the arts in 100 counties nationwide. The Alliance is managing the
Chicago site.
LAI requires a fair amount of primary data collection on end, perhaps
more than was anticipated. Most of the hard data collection is being
handled by another UIC intern; however additional work will be Internet
research and brief phone interviews on questions such as "what is the
total seating capacity of non-profit theatres in Chicago?".
The number of hours would be negotiable, but could reach 15 hours per
week.
If you are interested, please contact David Pankratu directly at:
pankratz@artsalliance.org and copy Margaret LaPorte on all correspondence to him.
