Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. We have one or more positions available in Denver and/or Tulsa for an entry-level environmental/transportation planner to work with our aviation planning group.
Responsibilities include assisting with planning studies that assess and document impacts to the natural environment, cultural resources, and human environment; conducting airport planning studies including environmental impact statements, environmental assessments, categorical exclusions, environmental overviews; and conducting noise and land use studies. Some travel will be necessary.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental studies, planning, engineering, architecture, aviation management, or a similar field.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: 
  • strong writing skills; 
  • experience with GIS and CAD software; 
  • understanding of/experience with the National Environmental Policy Act; 
  • research experience; 
  • the ability to meet deadlines; 
  • effective presentation skills; 
  • ability to take initiative and be a self-starter; 
  • ability to work well independently; 
  • a team-player attitude; 
  • strong organizational skills.
